How Diagnocam Laser Caries Diagnosis Works
The device works using the transillumination method: a beam of light is directed at the tooth; healthy tissue allows the light to pass through, while decayed tissue blocks it. The image is displayed on the screen in real time, allowing the dentist to show parents all the damaged teeth and assess the depth of the decay to develop a treatment plan. If necessary, images can be saved to digital media or printed out.

- High effectiveness: According to statistics, Diagnocam detects cavities on the lateral surfaces of teeth twice as often as X-rays, and four times as often on the chewing surfaces.
